Title: "Ningensei"
Medium: Watercolor mounted on rice paper
Size: 8 x 12" Ningensei is the Japanese word for Humanity. I wanted to create this piece as a small contribution to help those affected by the recent disaster in Japan. Such tragedies remind you of the more important and less petty things in life and bring about a time where we must find compassion and humanity within ourselves. This piece of PhanArt, although targeted mainly to Phish fans, still has the entire nation in mind because music is universal and is one of the few other positive things that can bring people together. The original art will be auctioned off starting at $50 and prints of the art will be sold online for $10 with all proceeds going to Peace Winds America's Japan Relief Fund. You can view more information on the organization herehttp://peacewindsamerica.org/japan-earthquake-and-tsunami/
Feel good about helping those in need while getting back a fun piece of art in return!

Check out my new piece- a 3 x 3 foot Mixed Media Wood Burning for the March 4th Pancakes and Booze Art Show! The subject in the piece is a dinosaur which is nicknamed the "Elvisaurus" due to its pompadour-like features. The title reflects not only a great Elvis track, but also the giant amount of love that was put into this chunk of wood :)
